How autotest collects, normalizes, verifies, and displays vehicle prices, specifications, warranties, and dealer information.
Source priority
We prioritize government documents, manufacturer websites and official price lists, followed by authorized dealers, established automotive platforms, and professional independent media. Forums and social posts are leads, not primary evidence.
Prices
Prices are stored by trim with currency, price type, source, and review date. Model pages show a range when several verified trims exist; promotional prices are labelled only when their scope and validity are known.
Specifications
Specifications are normalized to comparable units. When official sources conflict, the most recent market-specific document is preferred and the conflict is retained for editorial review.
Update frequency
High-demand models are reviewed at least monthly. Launches, facelifts, and major price changes trigger targeted updates.
Calculators
Loan, charging, and running-cost calculators use editable assumptions explained on each page. Results are estimates, not quotes from a lender, insurer, dealer, or charging network.
